Fun Holiday and Seasonal Runs Near Monroe

We live in a rather active community. We like to ski, hunt, fish, bike, kayak and run. We also like to eat and drink. How do you safely combine a few of our favorites? With a festive 5K or half marathon of course. Where else can you exercise and chomp on sweets or drink a glass of wine? We hope to see you at a Monroe area 5K this season.

Mud and Chocolate

Sold! Tackle a 4.5-mile race to enjoy the chocolately delights at the finish line. All finishers receive a chocolate medal, a full size Seattle Chocolates bar, and access to the sweets table. You have to endure a little mud along the way, but the prize makes it worth it. The Mud and Chocolate race will be held on November 7th in Redmond at 10 am.

Winter Pineapple Classic

How would you like to run and luau at the same time? You can at the Winter Pineapple Classic in Redmond. During the 5K, you will come across climbing walls and hurdles, and at the end you will be treated to a feast. The event is on November 8th and the proceeds benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Run or Wine

Both would be just fine with me. Work your legs and quench your thirst with a wine tasting from a local winery. The event will held in November and December in Woodin. The cost is $50, but you can find a Groupon that saves you nearly $15.

Christmas Run 5K/10K

Don your ugly sweater and Santa hat, or push back your hair with a set of reindeer antlers for the Christmas run in Arlington. he event will be held on December 5th this year.
