2025 RAM 1500 REV Release Date & Technical Specs

One of the most highly anticipated RAM vehicles in recent memory, we’ve been waiting with bated breath for real details on the brand’s first fully electric pickup truck. Rumors and teasers really started ramping up late last year, then a concept version of an EV RAM 1500 was introduced early in 2023. Finally, at the New York International Auto Show in April, the company unveiled the official production version of the vehicle, now known to be called the 2025 RAM 1500 REV.

Details on an exact release date are still likely a ways away, as the pickup is officially going to be a 2025 model. That, however, means the summer of 2024 is probably the earliest we could expect shipment. Until we have more concrete information on when the truck will become available, the best information we have to go on are its early estimated and targeted technical specs. Performance & Capabilities

Before we dive into the details on its electric specifications, such as range and charging, we wanted to highlight the more traditional specifications sought after from a RAM pickup truck. When it comes to performance, the new RAM 1500 REV will be capable of generating an astounding 654 horsepower alongside 620 pound-feet of torque. That kind of power translates to some pretty incredible hauling capabilities, as it will have a maximum payload of 2,700 pounds and be able to trailer up to 14,000 lbs. In addition, the truck will be lightning quick, able to accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds.

Battery Pack & Range

Now, let’s dive into the juicy EV details. To start with, the truck will be available with two different battery packs. The standard option will be a 168-kWh pack with a targeted range of up to 350 miles, which is impressive enough as it is. However, the available option is an even larger 229-kWh battery pack with an estimated range of 500 miles, which is unsurpassed in the class. As if that wasn’t already mind blowing, RAM has stated that a trim level called the RAM 1500 REV XR – which we assume stands for extended range – will offer an even more mind-boggling EV range.

One more fantastic EV spec to get excited about, if you have access to 800-volt DC fast charging of up to 350 kW, you’ll be able to get 110 miles of range by charging for just 10 minutes. Incredible!
