This year’s Detroit Auto show is taking place Sept. 17-25 inside Huntington Place, with activities also happening around Hart Plaza and Detroit parks. Needless to say, there will be a ton of vehicles to see and events to check out.

This is especially true if you are bringing kids along with you. Auto shows aren’t always the most kid-friendly events in terms of keeping the young ones entertained, but the 2022 Detroit Auto Show will no doubt be a unique exception with a whole host of activities that kids can enjoy.

One such feature is something that both kids and Jeep enthusiasts will love. Have you heard of Duck Duck Jeep? It’s a trend in which Jeep drivers leave a rubber duck on other Jeep vehicles they come across on the road. It’s a way to spread kindness and enjoy some camaraderie. Well, this year’s Detroit Auto Show will feature the largest such “ducking” yet with a version of Duck Duck Jeep that is six stories tall. It’s one of many surprises Jeep has planned for the auto show.

This year’s Detroit Auto Show will also give you and the kids the unique chance to see some really big trucks… and we mean REALLY big. The Monster Truck Throwdown event will take place in Hart Plaza with car-crushing exhibitions from vehicles like Bigfoot #20, Sinistar, and our favorite, Raminator. As big as Ram trucks may be, it’s pretty neat seeing one that is “monster-truck big.”

Other events happening at the 2022 Detroit Auto Show include Camp Jeep, where you and the kids can ride along in a Jeep on a mock off-road course, as well as the Dinosaur and Off-Road Vehicle Encounter that features over 80 realistically designed and sized dinos.
