Jeep Expands Badge of Honor Trails to 68

Jeep added six new trails to the Badge of Honor program, bringing the total to 68 trails. While none of them are near the Monroe area or even in Washington state, it’s one more adventure to tackle in your Jeep to get there. Still, if you like to tackle the country’s best off-road locations, you can add these locations as potential vacation destinations. All Jeep Badge of Honor trails can be accessed via the Jeep Badge of Honor app, which will inform you about trail highlights, difficulty ratings, and feature user photos. Completing each trail will earn you a hard badge to display on your victorious Jeep model. All 68 Badge of Honor trails can be loaded directly into the Uconnect 5 Navigation system with over-the-air updates.

Six New Trails 

Here are the newly added trails to the program:

• Quartz Canyon: Hot Springs Off-road Park, Arkansas
• Barney Rubble Blue Trail #49: Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area, Pennsylvania 
• Fern Ridge Trail #121: Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area, Pennsylvania
• C-2 Trail #141: Kansas Rocks Recreation Park, Kansas
• Rattlesnake Alley Trail #149: Kansas Rocks Recreation Park, Kansas
• Cougar Crossing: Southern Missouri Off-road Ranch, Missouri

Two Oregon Trails Are On the List

While there are no trails yet in Washington, there are two Badge of Honor trails in Tillamook State Park in Oregon. The Cedar Tree trail is 4.21 miles, is rated at moderate difficulty, and has an average duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes. The nearby Firebreak Five trail is rated as “Difficult,” with some optional sections bumped up to “Severe”. The trail’s difficulty is reflected in the approximate two-hour time figured to complete the 2.3-mile trail. 

 Jeep Adventure Guide Lists Other Trails

In addition to the 68 Badge of Honor trails, the available Jeep Adventure Guides provide detailed guides and maps for more than 200 off-road destinations that span the country. These trails can also be downloaded into the Uconnect 5 Nav system to be displayed on the 12.3-inch high-resolution screen of the new 2024 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator.

Jeep has also partnered with Trails Offroad, in which a $39.99 annual subscription unlocks their complete catalog of 3,000-plus trail guides. The catalog spans a wide variety of difficulty levels and terrains and boasts an unmatched level of information and quality, including:

• All trails are rated by experts based on real-world evaluation
• Consistent difficulty rating 
• Route description
• Key waypoints for turns, obstacles, and points of interest
