Which awards did Stellantis vehicles and brands win at 2023 TAWA Auto Roundup?

Quick refresher for those who might not be aware, Stellantis is a multinational automotive manufacturing company that just recently formed back in 2021. It was created from a merger between a French company called PSA group, which was responsible for some exotic brands you’ve potentially heard of called Citroen and Peugeot, and the Italian-American conglomerate FCA. The latter, Fiat Chrysler America, should be more familiar as it was responsible for Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati and RAM Trucks. Now, Stellantis is the company in charge of all these brands and a few others – 16 in total. What is the 2023 TAWA Auto Roundup?

I guess we should get to another explanation before diving into the winners. What exactly is the 2023 TAWA Auto Roundup? Even though the name of the organization seems localized, the Texas Automotive Writers Association is actually one of the most reputable press companies in the automotive industry. The company prides itself on providing quality, accurate information to automotive enthusiasts and consumers across the country, not just in Texas.

Throughout the year, the organization holds two physical driving events, including the Texas Auto Roundup in the Spring. This event is a hands-on event where members of the automotive media are able to evaluate and even drive vehicles for themselves. The TAWA typically hands out awards to auto brands and specific models throughout the event as well.

Stellantis Winners in 2023

Three different Stellantis brands managed to bring home a total of seven awards between them from the event, including two of the brands that we provide new right here at Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Monroe. Before we dive into those, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio managed to earn the highest honor within the Mid-Size CUV segment.

In addition to the Alfa Romeo vehicle, Chrysler managed to extend its streak at the event, as the Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid was able to top the Minivan category for the seventh year in a row. As for the Dodge brand, two of its vehicles were recognized, with the first being the incredible Dodge Challenger SRT Black Ghost, which earned the highly sought-after Performance Vehicle of Texas award.

The brand-new Dodge Hornet was the real breadwinner for the Dodge and Stellantis brands, however. Not only did it manage to bring home the big prize of the Crossover Utility Vehicle of Texas award, but it earned additional awards for Best Value, Best New Interior and Best New Feature.
